Diffusers

5 PRODUCTS

Aroma diffusers turn any room into an oasis of calm and pleasant fragrance. These ultrasonic devices disperse a fine, cool mist with added essential oils into the air, so you can scent your home exactly according to your mood — fresh and citrusy, soothing with lavender or invigorating with mint. At the same time they raise the humidity of the air, which you will appreciate especially during the heating season. Most models offer colourful LED lighting for a relaxing atmosphere, quiet operation suitable even for the bedroom and automatic shut-off once the water runs out. In our range you will find diffusers with various tank capacities and designs — for a small study as well as a spacious living room.

Diffusers

An aroma diffuser is a small household device that combines two functions — scenting the space with essential oils and humidifying the air. Unlike traditional scented candles or air fresheners, it works with neither an open flame nor aggressive chemicals, making it safer and gentler on the air in your home. A single device thus replaces a humidifier, an air freshener and a decorative lamp and helps create the right atmosphere for relaxation, reading or an evening routine.

How an aroma diffuser works

The most widespread type is the ultrasonic diffuser. Inside the tank there is a membrane that vibrates at a high frequency and breaks the mixture of water and a few drops of oil into microscopic particles. A cool mist is created that spreads gently through the room — the device does not heat up, so it does not destroy the sensitive substances in essential oils and consumes a minimum of energy. Alongside the fragrance, it therefore also adds moisture to the air, which you will appreciate especially in winter, when radiators dry out the air and irritate the mucous membranes and skin. Besides ultrasonic models there are also nebulising diffusers, which work without water and spray pure oil — they spread the fragrance more intensely, but use up the oil faster. For ordinary home use, the ultrasonic diffuser is the most versatile and economical choice.

How to choose the right diffuser

When choosing, be guided above all by the size of the room and the tank capacity. Smaller models with a tank of around 100 – 200 ml are enough for a bedroom or study and run for several hours, while larger ones with a capacity of 300 – 500 ml cover the living room and last even the whole night. Quiet operation is important — for the bedroom look for a model with a noise level of up to about 30 dB. A timer with an interval mode is handy, as it extends the tank's runtime, as is automatic shut-off once the water runs out, which protects the device from overheating and running dry. The colourful LED lighting, in turn, serves as a dimmed night light. You choose the fragrance according to your mood — citrus and mint oils are invigorating and suit a study, while lavender or chamomile are calming and suitable for the bedroom before sleep.

What to watch out for during use

The tank should always contain only clean water, ideally boiled or distilled, and the recommended number of drops of essential oil — usually 3 to 8 drops per 100 ml are enough. More oil does not mean a more intense fragrance, it only clogs the membrane faster. Never use perfumes, thinners or greasy oils that are not intended for diffusers. Clean the device regularly — after every second or third use, rinse the tank and occasionally wipe the membrane with a cotton swab, so that limescale and oil residues do not build up. In households with small children or pets, check in advance which essential oils are suitable for them, as some may not be good for them.

Thanks to the combination of fragrance, humidity and dimmed light, the diffuser helps create the atmosphere for evening relaxation, improve concentration while working or support a more peaceful sleep. Just change the oil and you can tune the same device to a completely different mood.

HOW TO CHOOSE

Diffusers differ above all in the technology used to disperse the fragrance, the tank capacity and the additional functions. The following table will help you quickly get an idea of which type of diffuser best suits the size of your space and the way you use it.

TypeFeaturesSuitable for
Ultrasonic diffuserBreaks water with oil into a cool mist, humidifies the air, quiet operationBedroom, living room, year-round use
Nebulising diffuserSprays pure oil without water, more intense fragrance, does not humidifyLarger spaces, aromatherapy
USB / mini diffuserSmall tank, USB power supply, portable and lightDesk, car, travel
Diffuser with a large tank (300 – 500 ml)Long runtime even overnight, greater reach, night modeLiving room, open spaces
Model with LED and timerColourful lighting, interval mode, oil savingRelaxation, night light, evening rest

If you want a diffuser mainly for humidifying and a subtle fragrance in the bedroom, go for a quiet ultrasonic model with a larger tank and a timer. For strong aromatherapy in a larger space, a nebulising diffuser is more suitable, while USB mini models will be appreciated by those who want to take their favourite fragrance with them to work or on trips. The same rule applies to every type — clean water and only a few drops of quality essential oil.

Safety notice in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety

Use electric aroma diffusers and air humidifiers only according to the manufacturer's instructions, which you should read carefully before first use.

  • Fill the device only with clean cold water up to the marked MAX line and add only the recommended number of drops of essential oil intended for aromatherapy; do not apply oils directly onto the atomizing membrane.
  • Never switch the device on without water (dry) — there is a risk of overheating and damage to the ultrasonic transducer.
  • Place the diffuser on a flat, stable and water-resistant surface away from the edge of furniture, electronics and heat sources; it is intended for indoor use only.
  • Before filling and cleaning, switch the device off and unplug it from the mains; do not immerse the base or electrical parts in water and use only the supplied mains adapter.
  • Do not use a damaged cable or plug and keep the mist outlet clear – do not cover the device.
  • Do not leave the device operating unattended and keep it together with the essential oils out of the reach of children and pets; the oils are flammable and not intended for ingestion.
  • Ventilate the room during use, do not apply the oils directly to the skin, and in case of asthma, allergies, pregnancy or in the presence of animals consult a doctor or veterinarian before use (some oils are toxic to cats and dogs).
  • Clean the tank regularly of limescale and deposits to prevent the growth of bacteria and the formation of mould.

The product is not a toy. In case of cable damage, a burning smell or unusual behaviour, unplug the appliance from the mains immediately and stop using it.
