tapes
Label maker tapes are an essential part of any well-organized office, warehouse, or home. They allow for quick and clear labeling of documents, cables, shelves, or containers. Our range includes compatible tapes for the most popular label maker brands, such as Brother, DYMO, and Casio, available in various widths, colors, and materials.
How to Choose the Right Label Maker Tape
When selecting a tape, it is crucial to consider compatibility with your specific label maker model. Each manufacturer uses specific cartridges—for example, Brother TZe, DYMO D1, or Casio XR. Using the wrong type of cartridge can cause jamming or poor print quality. Next, consider the tape width: 6 mm is ideal for narrow cable labels, 9 mm for binder spine labels, 12 mm for multi-line descriptions, and 18 mm to 24 mm for prominent shelf or door labels. Don't forget about color combinations—a contrasting background and font ensure better readability even from a distance.
Types of Tapes by Material
Laminated tapes are suitable for general office use, resisting abrasion, moisture, and regular cleaning. Nylon tapes are ideal for labeling cables and wires, as they are flexible, resistant to temperatures from -20 °C to 80 °C, and easily bend around cables without cracking. Polyester tapes, on the other hand, offer high durability and resistance to chemicals, which is appreciated in laboratories or production halls. For outdoor use, we recommend tapes with UV protection that won't fade even after prolonged sun exposure.
Quality and Materials of Compatible Tapes
Our compatible tapes are made from high-quality materials that ensure long life and accurate printing. We use durable laminating films that protect the printed text from fading, scratching, and moisture. Each cartridge undergoes inspection to ensure smooth printing without jamming. Nylon variants are reinforced to withstand frequent bending and handling—for example, when labeling cables in server rooms where cables are often moved. All tapes have a precisely defined adhesive layer thickness that firmly adheres to various surfaces—from plastics and metals to rough wood or cardboard.
Color Combinations and Their Uses
Standard combinations like black text on a white background are universal and suitable for most purposes. Colored backgrounds (e.g., yellow, blue, red, or green) help you create color-coded categories—yellow for important documents, blue for technical equipment, red for customer orders. For cable labeling, tapes with white text on a black background have proven effective, as they are easily readable even in dark spaces. For creative projects or home workshops, pastel colors or transparent tapes are also available, offering a minimalist look.
Maintenance and Care of Labels
After applying the label, it is recommended to gently press the surface to ensure perfect adhesion, especially on uneven surfaces. Labels made from laminated tapes are resistant to water and regular cleaning—they can be wiped with a damp cloth without the risk of smudging the text. Nylon cable tapes should not be exposed to extreme temperatures above 80 °C, so avoid using them near motors or heating elements. When storing spare cartridges, keep them in a dry place and protect them from direct sunlight to prevent the adhesive from drying out. If you plan to use labels in freezer warehouses, check whether the tape is designed for low temperatures—some models are specifically designed for temperatures as low as -40 °C.

CATEGORY INFORMATION
Important safety notice for label printer tapes in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on General Product Safety (GPSR)
This is a targeted safety notice for the correct and safe use of label printer tapes (cartridges for Brother TZe/TZ, DYMO – plastic, nylon, etc.). Since these are products with an adhesive layer and protective films that are inserted into devices with a cutting mechanism and the heat of the print head, please follow the instructions below.
Basic safety and handling principles
- Keep out of reach of children: There is a risk of suffocation from films and swallowing small cartridge parts; the product is not a toy.
- Safe insertion: Turn off and unplug the device when replacing the tape; keep fingers away from the cutting blade and feeder.
- Compatibility: Use only tapes intended for your model and width; do not forcibly eject or modify the cartridge.
- Heat and fire: Do not place tapes and backing films near open flames or on hot surfaces; protect from direct sunlight.
Correct and safe use
- Surfaces and adhesion: Stick to clean, dry, and degreased surfaces; test on an inconspicuous area before full application.
- Unsuitable use: Do not stick on skin, wearable textiles, food, or surfaces with elevated temperature or condensation unless specified by the manufacturer.
- Removal: Remove labels with extra-strong adhesive slowly; remove any residue with a suitable cleaner according to the substrate material.
- Protective films: Peel off and dispose of safely to prevent slipping or suffocation.
Cleaning, maintenance, and storage
- Cleaning the print path: Keep the cutting blade and print head clean according to the device instructions; do not use aggressive solvents.
- Storage of tapes: Store in the original packaging, in a dry and cool place away from direct sunlight; protect from dust.
- Cartridge condition: Do not use damaged, cracked, or deformed cartridges.
Specific health warnings
- Skin sensitivity: Adhesives may cause irritation in sensitive individuals; wash skin if contact occurs and do not wear labels on the body.
- Inhalation of fumes: When using adhesive residue removers, work in a well-ventilated area.
Disposal
- Safe disposal: Sort empty plastic cartridges and backing tapes according to local regulations; wrap small parts to prevent risk to children and animals.
Incidents and contact
- In case of an incident (injury from the cutting mechanism, skin irritation, surface damage), stop using immediately. Keep the product and proof of purchase for complaint processing.
